About UsThe Claremont Neighborhood Association (CNA) is a non-profit association whose mission is to protect and strengthen the quality of life for all residents who live, rent, or own a business in the Claremont neighborhood. There are over 3,600 people who live and work here. All are welcome members of the CNA. Here is a short list of some of our active committees: Communications Committee: Reviews and provides input on issues such as flyers, website content and design, e-mail distribution, and brochures. Quality of Life Committee: Reviews and provides input on such issues as trash, public safety, noise, and parking. Mass. Ave. Re-Development Committee: Reviews and provides input on the proposed reconfiguration and improvements to Mass. Ave. by the City of Boston and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Highways. Social Events Committee: Reviews and provides input on proposed social events such as the annual Holiday Party, the CNA Summer BBQ, and other events. Street Fair Committee: Manages the annual CNA street fair held in late May or early June on Wellington St. and which, is a major fundraiser for the CNA. |
The CNA offers the opportunity for members to have a voice in the many issues that affect us all; that includes neighborhood beautification, maintenance of gardens and green spaces, issues of zoning and business development, public safety concerns, fire and police protection, noise, sanitation, parking. We also sponsor a scholarship program and are always looking for ways to better the lives of CNA residents. Of course, becoming active in the CNA is a great way to meet and socialize with neighbors. Throughout the year we host various social activities: parties, barbecues, street fairs, and other fun and friendly events. |
