Ralph Horne History: Thirty years ago, in 1975, our neighbor, Ralph Horne, wrote a history of the South End. Ralph, who was a long time resident of 9 Wellington Street, never published his work, but has graciously allowed CNA to print excerpts of it on our Web site for the delight and education of our readers. Becasue of illness, Ralph sold his legendary home last year and now resides on Massachusets Ave. However, his Wellington Street home was the subject of a photography exhibit by the well known Shellburne Thurber which was presented this year at the Krakow Gallery on Newbury Street.
For the first installment, here is Ralph's architectural "history within history."
The second installment.
Now, here is Ralph's "Hollywood Comes to Wellington Street." Enjoy!
