Wellington Street's Carey Erdman has                                                            once again treated all of us to a spectacular                                                            Christmas display at his home. Wally's Cafe:Recently won The Henry Hampton Award for minority owned businesses, given by Black and White Boston. Congratulations to Elynor Walcott and son Frank Poindexter(also a CNA board member), who accepted the award on behalf of Wally's from Mayor Menino. Please visit our "Spotlight" page to learn more about this South End jazz institution. And if Wally's is one of our oldest neighborhood businesses, check out Uptown Espresso, one of our newest additions at the "Spotlight"page, which this year won a "Best of Boston" Award. Kudos to Faye.

The Claremont Neighborhood Association (CNA) was founded in 1945 and is the second oldest neighborhood association in the South End, and one of the oldest in Boston.

It consists of the 14 blocks bounded by West Newton Street, Camden Street, Southwest Corridor Park and the median of Tremont Street.

Today, residents of the Claremont neighborhood reflect a microcosm of the diversity of Boston: single, married, old, young, gay, straight, ethnically diverse, students, professionals and retired.
